This Sunday the FIP European Padel Championships Qualifiers concluded in Oslo (Norway). A total of 12 national teams (6 men’s and 6 women’s) will be added to the 10 teams already qualified by ranking. The tournament to be held from the 22nd to the 28th of July in Cagliari (Italy), as we told you here.
Portugal, Switzerland and Hungary have qualified in both categories and will be present at the finals.
Among the men, Portugal was the first team to confirm its presence at the FIP European Padel Championships this Saturday after the first two days. Also celebrating with them are Switzerland (who beat Bulgaria 3-0), Monaco (who also beat Turkey 3-0), Croatia (who beat Lithuania), Hungary (who beat Montenegro 3-0) and Austria (who knocked out the host country, Norway).
Thus, these are the teams that will be present at the European Padel Championships in the men’s category: Spain, Italy, France, Sweden, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, Monaco, Croatia, Hungary, Austria.
3 teams were already qualified for the finals of the women’s FIP European Padel Championships after the second day: Estonia, Switzerland and Portugal.
These teams were joined by Lithuania (who beat hosts Norway), Poland (who secured second place in Group B), and Hungary (second in Group C behind Portugal).
With these results, these are the women’s teams that will be present at the European Padel Championships in Cagliari: Spain, France, Italy, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, Germany, Finland, Great Britain, Estonia, Lithuania, Switzerland, Poland, Portugal, Hungary.
