The 2025 Premier Padel season promises strong emotions, marked by new couples. With the start scheduled for 10 February, fans are preparing to enjoy a year full of spectacle, with couples who will be aiming for different goals. On the one hand, there are those trying to dethrone the current dominators, Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia, who closed 2024 having consolidated their position as the most dominant duo for the second consecutive year. On the other hand, other pairs are joining forces to try to improve on last season’s results and move up the rankings.
Below, we are going to review all the new couples that have been formed so far for the 2025 season.
The most talked about and renowned couple. Juan returns to drive, the position in which he was the best in the world. Two world-class players who together are destined to fight for #1 without a doubt.
After sharing court in 2019, both meet again in a moment of maturity and sporting plenitude. With complementary styles, this couple promises to combine Martín’s defensive solidity with Javi’s offensive explosiveness.
Paquito is looking to revive his best version alongside the Brazilian, who has closed 2024 as one of the revelations of the circuit. The Spaniard is betting on the formula that has given him the best results: a partner with a great defensive capacity to return to the top.
Two players who have reached their best form this year. They know each other perfectly and have a good relationship. They already played together in 2022 and won a Challenger. The only unknown is the offensive aspect of this duo, but what is clear is that it won’t be easy to beat them.
All the moves on the board mean that all the pieces have to find their couple. This is the case of Jon and Momo. An unpublished couple, but who can have very complementary styles of play on court.
It has been the worst year for one and the best for the other. We all know Tello’s potential and all he has already shown. In this way, he joins the greatest promise that his country has for the future, which is certainly more than a reality.
Two young players of enormous projection who stand out for their power and aggressiveness. The challenge will be to find the defensive balance, but their offensive capacity is beyond doubt.
It has not been a dream year for the player from Malaga, who for the first time in many seasons, has missed the Finals. He has chosen another teammate with a great projection as Alex Chozas, with whom he will try to return to his best level.
After shining together in 2024 and beating the top seeds, they are resuming their project for 2025. More experienced and confident, they will be looking to consolidate their position in the Top 8.
The Magician from San Luis started the year by reaching the semifinals with Paquito Navarro and ended up on the back foot and losing in the first rounds. In this way, he joins with a physical and offensive portent, such as the young Javi Leal.
A reunion after their time in 2023. They know their strengths and are confident of recovering the chemistry that led them to stand out in important tournaments.
Two old acquaintances of the circuit. In the past, they have shown that they can aspire to great things. Together they will look for that solidity that they both carry by flag.
A couple with huge expectations. Brea and Triay are shaping up to be Ari and Paula’s main rivals in the fight for the number one spot. They could very well take this position.
Due to all the injuries suffered, it has been the worst year for La Perla. But with this change of cards between both couples, they will also fight for the top. Claudia has certainly shown that it’s only a matter of time before she takes the #1 spot.
Two veterans of the circuit. A lot to gain and little to lose for these two players who still have a lot of gas left in the tank in competition.
Two players who already know each other. In 2024 they shared the court in three tournaments due to Tamara Icardo’s injury. They made it to the semis and quarter finals. We’ll see after a whole preseason together.
After the good feelings obtained in 2023 reaching the final of the Master Final, they return two years later to prepare the season together.
Two young players who are going for their version 3.0, as they have been a couple on two other occasions and they have never done badly together.
