This morning the first tournament of the Reserve Cup Series 2025 came to an end with victory for Team Miami after three intense days of competition in Miami. Despite setbacks such as Álex Ruiz’s injury and adverse weather conditions, the tournament offered spectacular matches and marked a promising start to the padel season.

What happened on the third day of the Reserve Cup Series in Miami?

Martín Di Nenno and Momo González started the last day with a great performance against Juan Lebrón and Mike Yanguas. They won the first set with a solid 6-4 and dominated the second with a convincing 6-2. With this victory, Team Miami reached the 12 points needed to secure the Reserve Cup 2025 title, leaving the tournament decided.

In the second match, Fede Chingotto and Alejandro Galán faced Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia, the Premier Padel classic throughout 2024. The ‘Golden Boys’ started by winning the first set 6-3, but Chingotto and Galán came back strongly, taking the second set in a thrilling tie-break 7-2. In the super tie-break, ‘Chingalán’ managed to win with a convincing 10-3, adding the first and only three points for Team Reserve in the whole tournament.

The last match pitted Lucas Bergamini and Javi Garrido against Jon Sanz and Coki Nieto. Although Bergamini and Garrido started strongly, winning the first set 6-3, Sanz and Nieto reacted and took the second set by the same scoreline. In the super tie-break, Sanz and Nieto managed to close out the match with a tight 10-7, adding three more points for Team Miami and consolidating their dominance in the tournament.

With a final score of 15 points for Team Miami against 3 for Team Reserve, the team led by Andrew Schulz dominated the tournament from start to finish, making its competitive level clear. For its part, Team Reserve, under the leadership of Derek Jeter, managed to put up a fight at times, but it was not enough to prevent Miami’s comprehensive victory.
