Break-up confirmed! Paquito Navarro and Juan Tello won’t play together again

It’s going to be a week of official goodbyes, although many of them were already known a few days ago. If yesterday we published the separation of Alex Ruiz and Momo Gonzalez, today we announce the breakup of Paquito Navarro and Juan Tello.

The results end with the project of Paquito Navarro and Juan Tello

The results of the Spaniard and the Argentinean have not been good at the beginning of the season. Despite winning the Mexico Open last November, their results are clearly negative.

There has been no continuity from the couple, and their stumbles in the first rounds have been numerous. In fact, so far this year the couple have only managed one victory, against Pablo Cardona and Ivan Ramirez in three sets at the Qatar Major at Premier Padel. Coincidentally, that victory came with Paquito Navarro playing from the backhand court.

In joining paths on this project, both players took a risky decision, but it can’t be said that they didn’t try. We’ve seen a version of each player on one side and the other, but the results haven’t come, which has ended up bringing this adventure to an end.

This was confirmed by Paquito Navarro

The player from Seville published this Monday the following statement announcing his separation with Juan Tello:

So much for our adventure.

Thank you Juan Tello for accepting that crazy challenge I proposed to you. We did it with all the conviction and betting to death.

It’s a fact that it didn’t work out as we would have liked and now it’s time to part ways to find our best version again. I’m really sorry I couldn’t help you more and I take responsibility for the fact that this couple hasn’t reached a good cruising speed.

I will always be grateful to you for being a brave person. I know the graveyard is full of brave people, but they are also the ones who change the world. This time it didn’t work out, but we tried. I have no regrets. I only regret what I don’t try.

I wish you all the best in your new stage as the great person you are and I’ll see you on the tracks! It has been an honour to be with such a beast and at least we had a little gustirrinin to the body in the Mexico Open.

See you on the courts!

Paquito Navarro will return to the backhand

His experience in the drive has not been as expected. It was an idea he had in mind, as Fernando Belasteguin did in his day, but it hasn’t worked out. There is only one precedent that has been successful, the change of side of Juan Lebron.

Not even a preseason has made the player from Seville acclimatized to the right side. With that, Paquito will end his move to the drive and will return to play on the backhand side, where, as he himself has said several times, he feels at home.

Who will they play with now?

In the absence of official confirmation, Paquito Navarro and Juan Tello’s new partners are already clear.

Paquito has found a guaranteed right side player in Fede Chingotto, while Juan Tello will play with Alex Ruiz. These new couples will make their debut at the Granada Open on the World Padel Tour.
