There’s nothing left to celebrate one of the most special tournaments on the calendar at Premier Padel. After the tour in South America, where we’ve experienced some very exciting tournaments, padel returns to Europe to continue enjoying the 2024 season. First it will pass through Bourdeux, in France. A P2 that promises to continue giving strong emotions to the spectator, but the highlight will come a week later with the Italy Major, the second Major of the season.
The world’s best players will return to Rome for the third consecutive year from 15-23 June. It is one of the four top tournaments on the Premier Circuit (along with Qatar, Paris and Mexico). Not only does that mean a bigger prize money for the winners, but there are also a lot of ranking points at stake. It comes at a key moment in the season for many couples and could mean a before and after for many of them.
The setting, of course, will be the imposing Foro Italico. A place already known for professional padel, where there have already been some vibrant matches in previous editions. The court will be provided by the well-known company MejorSet, which tells us some details about how the 20×10 will be in this tournament.
A stage fit for a Major
If there is something that Premier Padel takes seriously are the places where the tournaments of the circuit take place. With its arrival in professional padel, emblematic sites such as Roland Garros were incorporated, and among the most iconic scenarios is the Foto Italico.
Located in Rome, it was inaugurated in 1932 and throughout its history has hosted numerous prestigious sporting events. These include the 1960 Olympic Games and the legendary Rome Masters 1000 tennis tournament. It has a capacity for 12,500 people and is sure to have, as in previous years, a great atmosphere throughout the week.
