After a week of competition, the antepenultimate P1 of the season has come to an end. We already have winners of the Dubai Premier Padel P1.
Sixth tournaments in a row for Tapia and Coello
One set lost in 30 consecutive victories. This, perhaps, is a small fact that defines a new title for this couple. Since Tapia and Coello’s heavy defeat in Genoa, they seem to have taken it personally. Since then, they haven’t lost.
Yesterday we already warned that Agus and Arturo seemed to be clear favourites to win this championship. Really, it’s as close to groundhog day as you can get in padel. Today, Coello’s blocks on Chingotto’s vipers were decisive, allowing the couple to get to the net better. And when they both propose and get to the net… there’s little more to add.

The highlight, unfortunately, has been Galan’s injury. The extent is not yet known, hopefully it’s all just discomfort. But in the 3-4 of the second set with break down, Ale has noticed a bad gesture in his left knee to support. The physios treated him and gave him a bandage. When he entered the court, you could read his lips perfectly as he said to Fede: ‘I can’t move’. A game later, he ripped off that bandage and we could see him constantly testing himself on the court.
Be that as it may, and with all due respect, Tapia and Coello were going to continue with their game. Alejandro Galán pulled on his tenacity and courage, but little would change. The number 1‘s are more number 1’s than ever. 6-4 and 6-3 to win their eleventh title of the season.

183 days later… Bea and Delfi are champions again
The unfortunate injuries that Bea has suffered throughout the season have prevented us from enjoying this couple, which at the beginning of the year, was postulated as the main opposition to the number 1’s. Since the P2 of Asuncion that took place last May, we didn’t see this couple lifting a title. And not only winning a tournament, but competing with good sensations at their level.
The Malaga player, in a week in which she has returned from her injury, has been world champion and has won this Dubai Premier Padel P1. Not only that, but it could be said that she has come back much better than before. She was the undisputed MVP of the final, winning 21 winners with only 3 unforced errors.

They are the couple that have won the second most titles this season, and finally break that barrier and open their P1 tournaments locker. Today they gave no chance to Alonso and Ustero, who they defeated by 6-2 and 6-3.
