We all know how important it is in the pádel win the net. In fact in an article we published recently we would list you up 5 reasons why it is vital to occupy that space of the track. Rodri Ovide, in one of his videos on his channel, he wanted to share with us an exercise whose main objective is to avoid losing the network.
Because being the maximum possible time of the game on the net guarantees you better results in your game, we are going to stop to see what the exercise proposed by the coach of the game consists of. World Padel Tour.
What does Rodri Ovide's exercise consist of in order not to lose the net?
The game consists of playing a 11-point tie break in which the serving pair cannot allow themselves to lose the net with a rival's balloon. Therefore, if the service partner is outbid, he automatically loses the point.
In order to avoid losing the net, the pair that serves does not stick to it so much, but is delayed to travel less distance to the possible balloon that their rivals will throw at them. As we are closer to the network, the easier it will be for adversaries to overcome us and snatch the network from us.
As a disadvantage, by moving away from the network obviously We will be leaving space for the opponents to play us a little. However, in this position we will have a better perspective to know if with our tray, viper or volley we get our rivals in trouble and, therefore, be able to take a step forward to finish the point.
Without further ado, we leave you the video below where we can see in action the exercise proposed by Rodri Ovide:
